Taitung Light Festival - Natural Light

Taitung, brimming with energy, is not only the land of hot springs, but also the land where light thrives.

At the 2024 Taitung Light Festival in Zhiben, the “light” of art and the “light” of nature blend together in complete harmony. Through stunning light art installations, the festival brings to life unique natural lightscapes, offering an endless sensory feast—from the dazzling dawn to the shimmering moonlight and the enchanting starlit skies.

跨越知本溪的勇男橋，化⾝藝術作品，成為2024台東光祭亮點主燈！《煥Bright》是以「勇男橋」為載體的場域演出，提取台東⾃然景緻之⼭、海、空及物種的⾊彩，化作絢麗的光影動態，賦予勇男橋在知本夜⾊下煥然⼀新的樣貌，重塑為知本地標。於此地標上，蝴蝶斑斕與⽇出海景相互交融，⼭雲星空的壯闊和橋柱上的圖騰流轉變換，集台東的⽇⽉星辰多元樣貌於⼀⾝，⽤⾊彩綻放屬於在地的故事，以視覺藝術及環境聲響譜寫活耀的⽣命能量。

Spanning across Zhiben River, Yongnan Bridge transforms with an artistic stroke of genius, to serve as the centerpiece of the 2024 Taitung Light Festival! Bright is a site-specific performance that uses Yongnan Bridge as its canvas, drawing inspiration from the vibrant colors of Taitung’s natural landscapes—the mountains, sea, sky, and wildlife. Through dynamic light and shadow, the bridge comes alive, presenting a renewed image of itself under the Zhiben night sky, becoming a new landmark for the region. On this iconic structure, the shimmering wings of butterflies merge with the sunrise over the sea, while expansive mountain clouds and starry skies blend with the ever-changing totems on the bridge’s pillars. This fusion encapsulates the essence of Taitung’s diverse landscapes, with colors narrating local stories. Visual art and ambient sounds combine to create a vivid and energetic celebration of life.
